NCPSMA ANNUAL CONVENTION•WORKSHOP

For 37 years NCPSMA has held an annual convention/workshop. In the past few years the convention has been held at the Sheraton Resort in Atlantic Beach in the month of September. Around 545 people usually attend the convention, with approximately 95-100 companies represented. The convention/workshop continues to expand each year. In 2009 around 25 workshops were offered during the three day event. A total of 93 companies participated. The convention provides members the opportunity to see the latest equipment and materials, discuss common concerns with professional peers from around the state, receive the latest professional information on issues of vital importance and improve the effectiveness of day-to-day operations. The convention provides vendors the opportunity to display their products, discuss services provided and talk with existing customers as well as the opportunity to gain new customers.

Each year a fishing tournament and a golf tournament are included in the program. On the last night of the convention a banquet is held. During this special event the Maintenance Employee of the Year, Maintenance Supervisor of the Year and Superintendent of the Year awards are awarded. Local Education Agencies with 100% are recognized and other awards are also given.

2010 will be the second year NCPSMA has held a western convention workshop. The 2nd Annual Western Convention Workshop will be held May 26-28 at the Ridgecrest Conference Center in Ridgecrest, NC.
