ANNUAL CONferences
Each conference provides members the opportunity to see the latest equipment, materials, and services, discuss common concerns with professional peers from across the state, and receive the latest professional information on issues of vital importance to improve the effectiveness of day-to-day operations. The conferences provide vendors the opportunity to display their products, discuss services provided, and talk with existing customers as well as the opportunity to gain new customers.
EASTERN CONference
- Held annually in September in the Atlantic Beach / Morehead City, North Carolina area since 1972.
- Average overall attendance = 450 people
- Average companies represented = 90 vendors
- Average breakout sessions (workshops) offered during the four-day event = 35
- The Annual Jay Palmer Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament is held which provides scholarships to school maintenance employees and their families.
- A Cornhole Tournament is held with cash prizes.
- The convention ends with an Awards Banquet and Celebration where special recognition is held that may include the following:
- Superintendent of the Year
- Director/Supervisor of the Year
- Member of the Year
- Vendor Appreciation Award
- Member Appreciation Award
- District Membership Drawing
- 100% Membership Awards
- Golf Tournament Awards
- Cornhole Tournament Awards
WESTERN CONference
- Held annually in May at the Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, North Carolina since 2009.
- Average overall attendance = 300 people
- Average companies represented = 70 vendors
- Average breakout sessions (workshops) offered during the three-day event = 30
- A Cornhole Tournament is held with cash prizes.
